The PLUS Foundation is committed to expanding diversity and improving minority inroads into the professional liability industry. Working closely with members, we are an important voice and vehicle for change.

Minority Intern Grant Program

The PLUS Foundation is proud of its ongoing partnership with INROADS, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop and place talented minority youth in business and industry and prepare them for corporate and community leadership (www.inroads.org). This program is part of an ongoing commitment by the PLUS Foundation to diversify and create opportunities for all people in the field of professional liability.

Since the program's inception in 2003, the Foundation has sponsored nearly 100 intern placements (42 separate interns). Seven of those individuals have gone on to full time employment with their company.

This quality INROADS program brings you the best and brightest, and continues to support both the student and the company for the duration of the internship

  • High performing students from applicable fields of study are thoroughly screened and selected based on skills and criteria requested by your company. There are academic performance requirements upon entry and throughout the internship.
  • Your company interviews multiple candidates to identify the right match for you and the student.
  • INROADS assists the company and the student in setting goals and objectives, and participates in periodic evaluations.
  • INROADS provides ongoing coaching and support to the student for the duration of the internship, being there to help address any challenges that may arise.
