Wednesday, November 10, 2010: San Antonio–11:30 to 12:30
This session is included with conference registration. No separate registration is available.

Featuring: Ms. LoriAnn Lowery-Biggers
President, Field Operations, Navigators Management Company

Empowering Greatness: In a highly competitive and increasingly fractious world, understanding and identifying your personal capabilities as well as your constraints is imperative in attaining success. Embracing your unique management style to be more successful, while achieving life balance, requires tools and techniques.

LoriAnn is responsible for management of the distribution strategy, marketing, branding, and the regional management structure of Navigator's fifteen field offices. She has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry, most recently as President of Lloyd's North America.

Over the past few years, LoriAnn has traveled to Lebanon, South Africa, Israel and Mexico on mission trips that have involved teaching ethical business practices to women entrepreneurs. She will be working with women in Ghanna and Mumbai in 2010. In November 2010, LoriAnn will be part of a team deployed to work with young girls extracted from human trafficking that are re-entering society with detox and counseling centers in Athens and Bulgaria.

Look for the Women's Leadership Initiative to continue to create opportunities to learn from the experience of women who are leaders by virtue of their achievements. We also plan to raise corporate awareness of the value of developing and diversifying leadership. Proactive companies that encourage female employees to participate in these PLUS Foundation events will help realize the overall industry goal of increasing the percentage of women in leadership roles.
